School Management and Implementing of Global Developing Education into Teaching at Different Types of Schools

Summary: The final bachelor paper deals with Global Education and its integration in different kinds of schools' curriculum. Therefore it is based on the definition of Global Education and its situation in the Czech Republic. In its research part I bring information on how the school stuff managers are familiarized with this topic and whether they are involved somehow. The found out data bring advice for managers who are unfamiliar with above mentioned.
Position of Global Education in Primary School

This diploma thesis focuses on Global Development Education (GDE) and its position in education at primary school. The main aims of this work are to find out why it is important to integrate global development issues in education, what are primary school kids preconditions for working with global issues and how can teachers integrate global issues to education. The theoretical part of the thesis begins with definition of GDE, then it is devoted its specifics in primary school education, its place in curricular documents and how it is integrated into education. In empiric part, GDE is investigated by questionnaire survey and interviews if the topics of GDE are incorporated into education, how often and what is the reason for this integration.
Project to support volunteering at primary school as an outcome of volunteering experience of a student teacher

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of volunteering, an empirical case study in the region of North India - Little Tibet, in the village of Mulbekh, in the Ladakh region. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the phenomenon of volunteering, the possibilities of volunteering activities in the Czech Republic and abroad. The thesis describes the need of the global development education involvement in cross-subject topics and points to new strategies in education. It introduces the possibility of implementation of the topic of volunteering in the educational field Health Education through project work. It also describes the functioning of primary education in India and the operation of the Spring Dales Public School, in which the research was carried out within the framework of the author's volunteer project. The author finds the benefit of this work in respecting the specific objectives of the 2030+ Strategy to acquire competences for active civic life by including the topic of volunteering in education. Globalization and selected global issues in social studies at high schools

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the theme of globalization and global issues as a topic of school education. There will be a didactic analysis of this topic in relation with the content of Civil and Social Sciences and the cross-curricular theme Education for Thinking in the European and Global Context at secondary grammar school. The theoretical part briefly defines globalization and explains the necessary sociological terms, such as global poverty, global unemployment and consumerism. There is also a chapter on global education in schools and on researches on understanding of globalization. The practical part explains the methodology of qualitative research and the method of in-depth interview of the semi-structured type serving as the basis of this work. Then, it presents the results of the research conducted on students' understanding realized with the secondary grammar school students. Finally, it gives recommendations for school education based on these results. Methods of Implementation of the Global Development Education at Czech Primary and Grammar Schools

The master thesis deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. It is focused closer on the description of the implementation methods of this topic into the Czech education system. Global Development Education is not mentioned directly in the Framework Education Programmes of the Czech Republic. Nevertheless the Framework Education Programmes contain it. Global Development Education goes across the Cross-curricular Topics. However that could be the reason why the schools don't pay to it as much attention as it deserves. This thesis describes the ways of implementation of the Global Development Education into the Czech education system and into the teaching in the Czech schools. This work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and it tries to briefly outline the theoretical background, beginnings of the Global Development Education in the Czech surroundings, curriculum and strategic documents that deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. In the first part there are also mentioned the possibilities how to integrate this topic into the school education programs and into the teaching as well. Environmental Education in the Czech Republic with Reference to Scouting Experience

The aim of this paper is to highlight the concept of environmental education as a strategy to support pro-environmental behaviour. Paper connects environmental education with Scouting and suggests their possible closer cooperation. It tries to support this connection by mapping work scoutmasters with nature. The research was carried out using qualitative method of "Understanding interview". The interviews were conducted with scoutmasters of girls and boys troops. Thanks to different variables of the observed units, such as the practices in the country or in a major city, it shows a number of different circumstances. Research suggests a different work with nature in urban and rural sections and also some gender differences. Interviews and observation also revealed some findings related to contemporary changes like working with technology, higher demands on education of children and also worries of parents. Besides analysing the differences, is the research deals also with reflection of scoutmasters on the topic of pro-environmental behaviour within scout centres and troops. These all findings may serve as a feedback for the environmental department of Scouting and for those who would try to support environmental education in "Junák".
Evaluation of implementation of National Strategy of global development education in Czech primary education

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of Global Development Education and the process of the implementation of National Strategy for Global Development Education in Czech primary schools. In 2011, the National Strategy for Global Development Education came into force, thereby Czech Republic adopted the principles and objectives of Global Development Education. Goals that are defined in the document are supposed to be implemented in the next five years. However, as the thesis shows the implementation is a complex process that depends on a wide range of aspects. The author has attempted to identify factors that influence the success of the implementation process. In addition, the thesis tried to answer the question of whether the implementation of the goals of the strategy thrive or fail, and explain why this is happening. With the use of ongoing evaluation practical recommendations to improve the process of implementation of the National Strategy for Global Development Education was proposed. Documentary film in the global development of education in high schools

Diploma thesis Documentary film in the global development education in high schools deals with the issue of the global development education in conditions of Czech high schools. The aim of the diploma thesis is to introduce possibilities of utilisation of the documentary film as a method of global development education. The theoretical part elaborates on the global development education in the school curriculum and one of it's educational instruments - documentary film. The empirical part is focused on preparedness of the future high school teachers for use of documentary film in the global development education and it is also concerned with their attitudes and knowledges of the theme.

In the practical part we are shown three own learning activities, which are fully capable of being put into teaching practise of geography at 1st level of basic education, especially for 4th and 5th grade.
